Some advantages include manual controls, a sizable display, excellent image quality even while shooting in moving vehicles, the ability to install CHDK and shoot in RAW format, and operation on AA batteries (fingers). Different disadvantages include the fact that the lens is a vacuum cleaner, that there is junk inside the lenses, and that it is visible on the video but not yet in the photo.
