Review on πŸ”¨ DEWALT DW45RN Roofing Nailer - Enhanced Pneumatic Tool for Optimal Performance by John Floyd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This nailer was great!

Roofer for the first do-it-yourselfer. Let me just say that I've done my research. I chose to build my own roof because of the economy and I love the hard work. My roof took a total of 5 weeks as I perfected the job and spent several hours on the roof. Once you get the hang of it and the pressure, driving nails is easy. 2500 square feet, approximately 80 packs of shingles, 20 shingles per pack - 1600 shingles with 4 nails per shingle means you have driven all 6400 nails. You are a pro! What I enjoyed most was looking up at the roof every day to see the new rows of shingles. and slowly but surely watching the new form take shape. Nayler was good. My dad had an air compressor that he loaned me and a nice long 75 foot hose that ran all the way up the roof. If I didn't have an air compressor I would definitely buy a battery powered nail gun. I personally don't think it's necessary, I'd rather save money, but I definitely wouldn't recommend buying an air compressor just to do a roof. The hose can get under you if you are not careful. Ahh, a beginner and a person with the right lights and doing research, I definitely think this Dewalt nailer helped me get the job done. The nail spool cover is plastic, but that's okay because it does the job perfectly. The canister is metal, as it should be. If you're doing a roof, this is a good nail puller. If you make several I wouldn't say it's the best option as I don't know. I'm planning on building a shed or two for storage with the right clapboards and I'm pretty sure I'll get the job done with this ready to use nailer soon!
