Review on Regency 1700GY Height Adjustable Wobble by Braden Bowers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Adaptable for students of different heights

The problem with reviewing this chair in the summer is that this stool has not received the full load that it will receive during the school year. I will update this review in the fall. I tested this stool on my own 10 and 12 year olds (who have experience using it at school) and they praised the comfort and ease of use. The stool is height adjustable by pulling a lever underneath and sitting or standing to allow the mechanism to move (like a barber chair but much less complicated). What I like as a teacher is that it has a thick rubberized base that allows the chair to rock but not slide. It's covered on top with a black coating that hopefully won't show any wear and tear. I need this to continue! Since it's adjustable, it should work with all of my students (grades 1-5) and even support my weight (so it should support any of my fifth graders). This allows my energetic students a fairly wide range of motion, but I have to limit the rotation (my own kids found out how smooth the rotation is pretty quickly). It's also beautiful to look at: bright blue and black. I still have to check whether the price is justified. There are cheaper stools, but you need to choose a specific height for your class. I feel like you're paying for the adjustability here, which is a must in my room of such a varied age.
