This is a great product at a great price. Versatile where it can be installed and adjusted to accommodate different viewing angles. When I ordered this I wasn't sure how well this "suction cup" style mount would work on a surface that isn't quite flat (this wasn't explained in the product details or in a review). So here's my description of how it works: The underside of the suction cup is made of some kind of sticky gel that sticks to your dashboard, creating an airtight seal in the "closed" position that's surprisingly strong compared to regular rubber sticks suction cup which MUST have a perfectly flat mounting surface (and will only hold until dry or air temp changes). Also in the box is a conventional stick on a base pad, which for some reason the gel base does not withstand. Many magnetic pad options are included for different case styles. When it's in place, snapped in, and the angle adjustment tightened, this thing is solid as a rock. I have a Galaxy S7 in a very heavy case (with a molded-in magnet/corner stand) and this mount doesn't move! All in all a great phone holder that is worth every penny. The only suggestion I can make to their design team to update the next model is a rotational adjustment on the suction cup base that would allow for that little extra adjustment once locked in place.
