The coasters came in mediocre packaging. This left them with scratches on the paintwork, which is not a good start. Also, the actual dimensions of the posts are 9 7/16 x 15 1/2 for the base plates and 5 9/16 x 8 5/8 for the top plates. They are very different from the square measurements shown in the description. I'm surprised that Revain doesn't require the seller to provide accurate measurements in their listings. Finally, you can generate these numbers with a roulette wheel. The edges of these plates don't appear to be very smooth either. Once cut to size, no effort was made to smooth the cut surfaces. However, the uprights are well bolted and pretty solid. Maybe you shouldn't have expected more for the price, but I'd happily pay $5-$10 for better workmanship and more secure packaging. Whatever the case, I'll probably powder coat them when I disassemble them to fill them with fine gravel. I'll probably also drill a few holes in the rear tubes to hide the wires at the same time.
