Some flaws. And can't upload files from SD card!

I've only had this camera for a few days and have been experimenting with it indoors as the current weather is not suitable for an outdoor installation. I bought a 128GB microSD card for local storage and I don't plan to subscribe to cloud storage. The camera itself seems to work well with the video quality, which I'm happy with. Motion detection seems to work well and has custom detection area + sensitivity settings. Of course I haven't tried it outside yet to see how accurate they are. The first problem I encountered was the lack of instructions on how to install the SD card. Which orientation, for example? There's a small icon next to the slot that I can't read. I looked into the slot to see which side the contacts were on. The result was that I pushed the card all the way into the slot where I expected it to click, but that only meant it was then well below the top edge of the slot, making it very difficult to pull it out when i had to replace it. . There is almost no gap to capture it. There should be instructions not to insert past flush with the top of the slot. There's a small notch for a fingernail to catch the edge of the SD card when it's no further away. set up with my iPhone. The setup instructions are misleading as you have to figure out for yourself that in the middle of the setup you have to sign in with the device's Wi-Fi SSID and come back to continue. To make matters worse, they don't tell you what his Wi-Fi password is in advance. I finally found the information in his short troubleshooting section, which said the password is listed on the device's label as "security code". This label is not found on a camera/device in my opinion. I finally found out it was the label on the device's USB power cord next to the connector. I wish the USB cable could be detached from the camera for easier routing through the wall. The app seems to work fine but is completely UFO (U Get it right) like many apps these days. They think that the user information for them is on the web, but there is not the slightest information on how to use it. It looks like it's all marketing. Motion detection alarms seem to work well. I like that the motion event video seems to have a few seconds of video before the motion that triggered the alarm and recording. Without a cloud subscription, the camera must be connected to the network to view recorded video. The app icons for functions are a bit confusing for me. Some indicate what should happen when clicked, while others indicate the current status. For example, there is a default pause icon that changes to a play icon and vice versa. The icon next to it is for selecting 1-camera view or 4-camera view. But it looks like 1 window in 1 window mode and 4 windows in 4 window mode instead of looking like you clicked it. Similarly for the next icon for standard or high definition video. touched him. Then the camera's speaker icon will appear, always with an x next to it, like it's turned off. BUT they turn gray when the speaker is on, which means it is NOT off. Strange. Anyhow, it seems to have some pretty good features once you figure out what they're trying to do. I would have preferred if it was a much more intuitive and useful usage reference. Certainly they have not created any information about the use of the application. In fact, the obvious features of the application aren't fully implemented yet, and I don't know if they will be. UPDATE: I find the support answers almost useless. They don't really seem to want to help themselves and show no interest in fixing or improving things. Sometimes I doubt that they even understand my questions. For example, I just discovered that there is no way to download videos from its SD card. There's an envelope-like icon which I think ultimately probably serves to email selected videos, but it doesn't seem to do anything. It's on the same screen as the trash can icon for deleting selected videos and it works. Support says "Recording to SD card doesn't support direct download yet, you'll need to remove the card and boot from the computer". to get the sd card . card which as mentioned above i am not sure i will ever be able to remove it i will update if anything major changes 4/20 UPDATE /2021 i Bought another one of these and set it up It seems to work great I had to do a manual setup because the app couldn't read the QR code on the product label on the power cord and even then I couldn't read the QR code on the product label on the power cord read SN is also listed on the product label so II had to take it out of the product box. Before first use, I installed a formatted 128GB microSD card. Immediately after setting it up, I got the PLAY ERROR message multiple times, so I figured it was worth trying the camera. matte the SD card itself in case it was finicky. The button in the app for this is called "Format Storage" as if it had already done so. I think it should say "format memory" but I tried and confirmed the desire to lose everything on the card. Then it said formatting was in progress. But it still didn't go away after 20+ minutes, so I closed the app, unplugged the camera, and plugged it back in. Both seemed to be working again. I reported this to support who basically ignored everything I reported other than saying I should try formatting and reinstalling the SD card on my PC. Help these people a lot. formatting process
