I have 2 shih tzu's and always trim the excess hair that grows under their eyes. I am always nervous putting a pair of scissors that close to their eyes. I take every precaution and luckily nothing has happened yet but these little clippers are perfect! They aren't loud, they cut well and I can trim that hair without traumatizing my dogs. Keep in mind I am obviously NOT a dog groomer so the neatness of the trim could probably be better but that isn't the fault of the clippers!
