Does not match phone accessory ads

I ordered the description for my old Panasonic phone which I like very much. The battery I have is 850mah and this is stated in the description. They sent the one with 1000 mAh. I don't know anything about electronics so I'm a little concerned, could this be too strong for my phone and cause damage? I'm trying to decide if it's worth going back or not.
