I spent a few days trying to get my cat to wear a harness. He seemed ok with that and I felt the harness itself seemed comfortable and fitted well. Since everything was going well, the next step was to add a leash. I did all this at home, of course, fortunately. With the addition of the leash, my cat began to feel resistance when she reached the end of the leash. Faster than I could react, he turned to me and unbuckled his seat belt. This left me with a leash and an empty harness, and the cat jogged away happily. My plan for the day was to just tie it down for 5 minutes and set a timer. He left the game before the 4 minutes were up.
