Amazing how much better it works with a scraper edge. I might not be the first to take it out of the box and start using it. I'll be one of the first to admit it. I didn't read the packaging or look closely at the rim before I started using it. After realizing that this didn't really work, I decided to reverse the scraping edge. No, the blades are not double-sided. This is a very well made tool. Nice grip and solid construction. I used it to clean the paper base from linoleum and linoleum glue from concrete. It did a great job. The blade held up well. If you have a big job I would suggest buying extra blades. Great tool for your money.
