Review on 🌸 SaturSkin Pore Clarifying Toner: 10% Glycolic Acid & AHA Deep Cleansing Astringent for Hypoallergenic Skin-Purifying by Sandra Reyes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Makes skin a little smoother, but not effective on its own AHA Treatment

Saturday Skin's pore-cleansing toner is good, but I haven't seen a noticeable improvement enough to warrant buying another bottle. It's hard to squeeze out the product (you have to shake every drop, not pour) but I like the packaging of this toner - the thicker glass bottle is nice and would look nice on a countertop. The scent is neutral - so subtle that I didn't even notice it. It applies well, the toner absorbs quickly, leaving no stickiness and feeling after application. It's glycolic acid so it can sting a bit depending on skin sensitivity, but I haven't had any redness or irritation from use. I used it at night and in the morning my skin was smoother and softer so I really appreciated it. However, it was only a minor improvement and I didn't notice any additional benefits. The directions for this toner say to use it 3-5 times a week, so it's meant for treatment, not everyday use. I could understand that the daily AHA toner could be made weaker to reduce the likelihood of skin sensitivity, but it claims to contain 10% glycolic acid and should only be used a couple of times a week, so I'd expect it to be more effective . noticeable difference. In comparison, before I started using this toner, I used another brand of 10% glycolic acid pads that were soft enough to use twice a day (morning and evening) but were still effective - mine Skin has improved so quickly and visibly. that I was in some kind of shock. Although both products have the same AHA scores, the results are by no means similar. Despite the 10% claim, I know that toners often don't work as well because they're a thin liquid that doesn't stay on the skin as long as serums or creams. Because of this, I am more willing to buy products that use key ingredients in serum or essence form. I think an AHA toner might not be as valuable as another category of skincare product - this one had minimal use for me, so I wouldn't use it as my only AHA. However, since my skin has not had any negative reactions and it has really helped, I would consider using this toner acceptable, with the caveat that I think skin can show improvement faster and more clearly if I use this toner in combination with a more effective product, therefore more suitable for skin care than for self-treatment. Pore-cleansing tonic.
