Review on MegaGear Ever Ready Leather Camera Case Compatible With Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II by Mario Anderson

I'll gladly pay double

I recently bought a new travel camera and took the opportunity to try a mirrorless camera. I've been an Olympus fan since 1976, when the OM-1 ushered in the era of smaller, lighter DSLRs, so I bought one of the OM-D E-M10 pancake lenses. This camera and lens combo is too small for all of my existing housings, so I looked around for something more suitable. This MegaGear case only caught my eye because of its retro style. It reminds me of my first camera, a Kodak semi-automatic rangefinder in the mid-1960s. I was also impressed that all MegaGear cases are made for specific cameras. It arrived today and fits the camera like a glove. I really like the retro design with metal buttons instead of the ubiquitous velcro on plastic cases. This one smells like a real, I swear to god, camera bag. The materials and workmanship are very high quality - the leather is immaculate and the stitching is perfect. The two parts of the case are cut out so nothing on the camera is blocked and access to the back and battery is easy. To be honest if I had seen the case before I bought it I would still have bought it twice as much.

Pros
  • Camera bags
Cons
  • No insurance
