Significantly higher quality

I had never replaced a breaker before but was up for the challenge as it was on an external accessory board protected by the main shards. Great design. Much better than the GE I replaced which failed (seems to be common with high current RCDs). It took me all 15 minutes. Probably saved $300.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Works as expected but is physically larger than 50a

Requires a 60a shutdown when upgrading an old 50a spa. This switch required some serious cable compression to fit the external switch I already had for my old 50a switch next to the tub I was replacing. (I used to use 70 amp wire to combat the voltage drop, so don't worry, the switch in my panel was 60 amp too). It worked, but be aware that it's a much larger physical size than a 50 amp circuit breaker.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Problems

Works from the second time.

Product ordered, installed, didn't work and there was NO packaging at all on the inner box. We were sure it wouldn't work, but it still works. Fingers crossed.LOL

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Works well but installation can be tricky

Works well for me but there are a few things to note. First, it's longer than a traditional switch, measured from the rod to the vertical edge of the panel. That means you have less room to work with very thick wires. Second, speaking of thick wire, this switch cannot handle thicker wire than AWG 4. My load wires are AWG 2 so I had to splice them with short lengths of smaller wires to make it work. Not that easy considering how thick and stiff these wires are combined with less room to the edge

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

Exact replacement from the spa panel manufacturer!

In May 2019 we installed a new replacement tub. After just a month we shook it, turned it off and went on the 10 day vacation. When we went back and tried to turn the new spa back on, the old switch (installed 2003) immediately went off. We suspected our new spa had a short and contacted the spa manufacturer for warranty service. The rep on the phone said if the switch trips when turned on, it's almost always a faulty switch. So, being a decent handyman, I flipped the switch and found that THIS

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
