I have a 12lb mixed breed puppy and I bought her a medium to wear after she was neutered. It fits really well and is super washable and yes she can go potty without taking it off. Firstly if I had followed the sizing chart I would have bought a large and it would have been too big, luckily I took the reviewers advice and followed my intuition and sized down. Much better than putting a little girl in a cone, but we still need to keep a close eye on her. We don't know how she does it, but little Houdini manages to free herself completely from her jumpsuit without undoing a single click. Luckily she doesn't try to escape very often and honestly I think she would have eaten a disgrace by now.
