I've never written reviews but thought it would be helpful after reading the reviews and was a little suspicious of the unlocked feature. Some had problems installing a SIM card from another operator. I had the same issue and felt helpless when the Sprint logo popped up on my phone when I turned it on. So after a lot of searching I found sites that sent me unlocked codes for a fee of about $50 and thought about it. (The "unlockβ feature may apply to international carriers, but may be "lockedβ to a specific carrier.) Sprint will unlock a phone for free if the previous bill and phone have been paid and the phone has been used for at least 50 days. So I called Sprint to get the code and found the phone was unlocked on their system. I didn't have to enter a new code. I then called ATT and after setting up some menus I was ready to go. The only problem I'm having at the moment is the notification that the phone can't connect to the Sprint network. It's in the top bar when I scroll through other notifications, but it's not intrusive. So, apart from the above actions, I'm happy with the phone (4 days). It just needs to be clearer that the phone is actually unlocked by the carrier and what needs to be done to connect to another network. Without this information, advertising is a bit deceptive.
