I looked at MANY different brands of glass storage containers and chose them based on comments from other owners. In addition, Pyrex has long been known for the quality of its glass, and many complaints about other brands have been about broken glass. I am absolutely satisfied with them! I keep the ones not currently in use in a cabinet with lids on the containers. This does not add height compared to stacking without a lid and is gentle on glassware. More than half of them are in use at any given time, so I don't waste a lot of closet space to store them. I like to see the contents of each container in the fridge; saves time, but it's also nice to see colorful foods when I open the fridge door.
