I installed this on a 2003 Sprinter. This is pretty easy if you follow the instructions and buy butyl tape and lap sealant. Mine was different than the photo - the bottom flange is slightly wider on the sides so it has ledges for an optional rain cover. Out of the box, it didn't fit between the protruding beads on the roof of my van. I don't plan on buying a rain cover so I just cut off the extra flanges. I also cut a ring out of 1/2" plywood to give the included screws something to cut through. The fan does a great job of moving hot air up and out of the van. It creates a gentle breeze when the windows are cracked, enough to keep the dog safe on moderately hot days. And if you leave the windows closed and the van heats up like an oven, the fan will cool it down to ambient in about thirty seconds. Can I control it from the driver's seat? , but it has a thermostat that shows the internal temperature. The vent can also be opened without the passive circulation fan running if you have a low vent.
