Review on Adjustable Shower Head Extension Arm by Joe Merculief

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The seal at the end of the shower pipe has issues that make assembly difficult, if not impossible, without tools.

Well made overall but wasn't easy to install. This is because the extension needs to be screwed into the shower pipe and aligned almost perfectly so that the shower head is pointing down. This didn't happen as the seal on the extension ran into the shower pipe and couldn't be properly squeezed to rotate for proper alignment. Took it apart and found the problem is that the seat on the gasket is tapered and the gasket itself is flat so of course it wants to go into the shower pipe. To make it work I cut out a thin brass washer and a second gasket. By placing a brass washer over the factory gasket and then over my new gasket onto the washer I was able to align and seal it. Bottom line I would return it if I didn't have a way to do it as it wouldn't work.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Quality
