Beautiful and often nonfunctional

I don't know what happened to this keyboard but it doesn't look anything like the first model I had. I've only had it a few weeks and have struggled to keep it clean (it's a lint magnet) and found the keys too cramped to really get into a good typing rhythm. Sometimes there is even a lag when typing, which is what confuses me the most while typing. I write for work so this is a deal breaker. The keys are too chunky to be realistic for productivity, and even more so for serious gaming. This is a beautiful and elegantly designed table centerpiece. I'll trade it in here soon for something made for actual typing. The switches are clumsy and uncomfortable to tap. It needs cleaning almost every day and I've never had a keyboard like this before. I wonder if it could be a used model being sold as new. I had issues with this throughout my stay at Revain. Sellers sell something for "new", but it is used. The first model of this keyboard I bought last year worked great for about 10 months. Then the keys began to break. But this one was non-functional right out of the box, leading me to suspect that the buttons might have worn out from previous use. UPDATE: Another day of battling that annoying keyboard. I bought this keyboard new from Dell last year. I know this isn't usually felt 25 days after purchase. The keys on the first keyboard were free and easy to use. They are rigid and cannot be printed on. I'm sending this junk back. Probably another 'new' Revain product actually used. Last purchase from Revain for over $10 or whatever I need for work. Too many sellers are selling used items as new (which is actually illegal, you can't). Seller: Please note. If the box is opened and returned, you cannot put it back in the box and sell it as 'new' even if it has not been used for a very long time. I am reporting this to the appropriate regulators to ensure sellers on Revain.com are no longer selling used items as new. Update: Less than a month after ordering this piece of junk I'm sending it back. It can't be a new keyboard. I bought this keyboard new last year. I am so mad at Revain.com that I will never shop here again. Is always. Customer service was non-existent - they basically said they needed a three-week "examination" of the dirty, dusty $466 chair they sent me from Steelcase - before they could refund the last $300 of my purchase. What do I do in the meantime at work? Sitting on the floor GD? Then this keyboard and I did. Absolutely done. This time I won't write to their "support" to complain but let UPS pick it up and ship it. That means for the first week of my job this month I'll be sitting here in a used office chair I bought for $466 and waiting a week for a real new keyboard to get here. Basically I paid $595 to Revain.com and here I was in a damaged item typing on a used keyboard. I have a friend who works as a manager at Revain and what advice did she give me? NEVER BUY SOMETHING ON AMAZON THAT YOU REALLY WANT NEW. She won't shop here either. giggle
