Much better than making your own stupid cables

Making your own speaker cables is said to be one of the easiest DIY projects you can do. "Why buy wire when you can get an 8,000 foot spool of quality speaker wire for $2.58?" people say. Sounds great until you try to strip speaker wire and accidentally cut half the copper strands no matter how careful you are. Then you pay $10 for two pairs of good banana plugs to terminate the cable, defeating the very purpose of the project which was not to pay $10 for cables. Then untangle the copper strands around the back end of the banana plug, snapping half of the remaining strands. Then you screw the banana plug back in, but of course it comes loose because you intentionally put copper strands in the threads. Anyway, I've made my own speaker cables this way and have never been very happy with the result. But the last straw was a few days ago when I heard almost nothing from my left speaker, and that was because one of my banana plugs had somehow unscrewed itself. I'm tired of looking for pre-made cables and ended up on these because: 1) they're pretty cheap 2) they're flexible at the ends, which is good if you only have a couple of inches between the back of the speakers and the have wall 3) They have nice collars on the ends that look nice and keep the two halves from separating. I just received these cables, hooked them up and they turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for. An added bonus is that they offer a much tighter connection than my expensive Monoprice banana plugs. 5 out of 5 stars, clear recommendation!
