Wrong product: audio cable

The seller said not to use with banana terminals on both ends. They said they would send a replacement. Received today and they are the same as the first banana clips installed on both ends. I can't use the 5994 sound design which can't use banana clips and uses older smaller connectors. Need banana clips on one end, smaller clips on the other end.

Everything a speaker cable really needs

Banana plugs make installation easy at will. I tested them with about $200 speaker wire and 10AWG OFC and the sound was IDENTICAL. Yet more proof that quality audiophile cables are a scam. These cables are all you really need, especially at this price, quality, and ease of use.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Little things

Good quality good for audio cable

Good cable when I didn't feel like looking for speaker cable and needed a good banana plug as all my other speakers and their cables were fine. If you're just looking to buy a spool of speaker wire for a quick connection, there's not much point in not buying one, especially if you're lazy.

Pros
  • Good looking
Cons
  • Long wait

No 12ga cable. Like 16 acres.

I had to cut and clean one end to attach the spring to the speaker so you can tell it's not 12ga wire. Bananas worked fine in my receiver on the other end. It appears to be 16 gauge wire. This sensor is not that important at short range, but can be a problem at longer range. So it doesn't inspire confidence that it's actually an oxygen-free copper material. They're fine for my non-critical use, but more experienced, more demanding users might be disappointed compared to other cables available…

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • You could have gone with a newer model

Enjoy a good connection without paying too much.

Works as stated, maybe even better than stated. I used 14ga. bare wire with do-it-yourself bananas for years, decided to upgrade and it seemed like a good deal. Upon receipt I unwrapped them and they felt both pliable and heavy in my hands, took a nanosecond to connect and voila! My speakers suddenly sounded more balanced (the left matched the output of the right) and I seemed to be playing better. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like I'm getting the benefits of an expensive speaker cable…

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

WHO BUYS A SPEAKER CABLE?

Problem Number ONE: They are NOT 12 gauge as advertised. Many people have stated this in their reviews. Problem number two: I've been using banana plugs for years. These forks are THIN than the others and do NOT fit me tight enough. I use them for a cheap receiver and speakers in my bedroom and didn't want to spend a lot of money on something where quality wasn't really an issue. BUT I have VERY QUALITY AUDIOFILE gear in my living room with VERY expensive wire, and I KNOW what 12 gauge wire is…

Pros
  • Permanent Test Results
Cons
  • No Paint Required

Much better than making your own stupid cables

Making your own speaker cables is said to be one of the easiest DIY projects you can do. "Why buy wire when you can get an 8,000 foot spool of quality speaker wire for $2.58?" people say. Sounds great until you try to strip speaker wire and accidentally cut half the copper strands no matter how careful you are. Then you pay $10 for two pairs of good banana plugs to terminate the cable, defeating the very purpose of the project which was not to pay $10 for cables. Then untangle the copper…
