foot size is perfect (slippers 11-12 on shoes 10.5-11), the strap is a separate story, and in general a separate detail - shortened pole between the thumbs and next to the toes, the foot is too close to what is usually a comfortable flip-flop and snuggles right between them. I hope this softens up a bit but I really think I'll just have to get used to it or find another brand which will be very disappointing. I can't imagine that during the manufacturing process they thought they could save that much money by redesigning the barrel. I've been wearing them since at least the '80s, and every time I return to Hawaii I snag a few pairs to hold out until my next shopping spree at Ala Moana Long's Drugs, which has vanished from California. After my supply ran out I took Revine and they're a little more expensive than the site itself but they're the same slippers so it's not going to be fun. They get 3 stars as long as they don't change the upper back, while remaining the most beautiful basic slippers in the world, which remains their iconic style.
