They are only 6 feet tall in the sense that the tree is 5 feet tall and the planter is 1 foot tall. They are approximately 18 inches wide and come in 2 pieces. Bought 2 of these, need 1 more. The top fits the bottom very well and only takes a few seconds to connect them into a tree. The tree cannot be deleted. from the cache pot. I suspect that the tree trunk is glued to the bottom of the planter. This was the best deal I could find on a 6 foot evergreen. They are made of plastic. From a distance they look realistic. Standing in 3ft of wood you can tell it's plastic, although I don't see that as a problem. I planted them outdoors next to my porch, under the porch of the house where there is little sunlight due to the shady trees in the yard. Much luck. Drilling a drainage hole in the bottom of the planter The tray comes without drainage holes. I had to drill an inch of concrete to make a hole in the bottom to allow rainwater to drain. Wildcard here as I have no idea how long they will hold up looking well, or how well they will do in the north winter/ice Ohio.
