Durable materials and stitching. I wear 9.5 D US, they are stamped 43 EU and they fit well. Three Velcro straps are enough to keep them secure. The skin is thin and processed in such a way that even a small stub on the toe will permanently scratch the skin. It seems to me that this is a street shoe, but with a thicker sole. As others have said, the only surface these spikes will land on is concrete. I can walk on a smooth floor without scratching it. The sole is durable, so it doesn't bend when you walk and the heel doesn't slip. Arch support is minimal and the insole is very thin. I added insoles which helped minimize hot spots. There are many fore, aft and lateral adjustments for cleat position. Would I buy them again? Unlikely but I would buy from this manufacturer again - they fit and are well made.
