Review on Hella 2 Speed Turbo Fan with White Housing - 003361022 '3361 Series' - 12V DC by Zack Frazier

I used to install a couple of 12 volt fans to blow the air around when we drove the RV in the hot weather. These fans were noisy and hardly moved any air. After suffering from the squeak for a while, my tolerance wore off and I decided to replace it. While surfing my favorite Revain website I came across HELLA Turbo fans. Hella fans are about 6 inches in diameter. There is no protection on the air inlet side of the fan. The structure is entirely made of plastic. The fans rotate and tilt on the base. You don't hesitate. The first impression I had was that the fan was overpriced compared to the full metal trucker fans. i still feel it There's nothing solid about these fans. The label says "Made in China". I've read the motors are German, but nothing on the box or fan confirms that. However, Hellas is a soft whisper. They move the air well. They have 2 speeds. I left the plastic screw in place on the base of the previous fans and screwed in the Hellas base. I drilled a 3/16 hole in the bottom cover to let the hella wire through. I drilled a ¼ inch hole in the stem and fed the RV's 12v wires through it. Thus, the wires enter the base and are not as visible. I note that the base cover is free to hang. A previous report noted that a screw was screwed into the cover to hold it in place. I'll put up with it as I enjoy spinning and tilting fans.
