Update. 09/24/2017. I had to update. This fan was quiet and very good until it was cheap. The fan unscrewed while driving and fell on the sofa. The fan blade is torn around the bolt she is pressing on. Very little pressure. Hella does NOT sell any spare parts for this. Quiet and powerful for my camper. Hang it at the bottom of a storage closet and it's a lot quieter than the fan it replaced! I am very happy with this purchase. Can be folded to the side. The only problem. Might not be a problem…

This fan works as advertised. I have been using these fans for many years. They clearly state that the fan is rated for 5000 hours of use. If you let it run 24 hours a day, do the math. I replaced some. The ones that work the most burn out after about 5 years. They move the air well. The difference in comfort compared to air conditioning systems with the fans switched on is striking. On the hook, they ensure that the air moves enough to change the level of comfort. I used to install a couple of 12 volt fans to blow the air around when we drove the RV in the hot weather. These fans were noisy and hardly moved any air.
