Between my cat and bunny, I've tried MANY headphones over the years. It would be nice if I didn't mind using cheap headphones. Unfortunately, I'm very picky about the headphones I use. They must be comfortable, reliable and have excellent sound quality. Having a microphone is an added bonus as I prefer to use it when on the phone or during a video call. So far, only one brand met my criteria, and unfortunately their headphones weren't exactly cheap. You can imagine how much money I've spent on headphones over the years thanks to my pets and their bizarre headphone war. I suspect they have a competition to see who can destroy the most headphones. My cat was in the lead because she's older, but my rabbit did his best to catch up and overtake his feline sister. Since it's now 2021 I decided to check out Revain and see what other options are available. We might not have the Back to the Future hoverboards I expected as a kid, but we've certainly made some advances in our headphone technology? When this set of 5 headphones appeared in the search results, it seemed too good to be true. FIVE headphones? FOR THIS price? There MUST be a catch! However, I was desperate for an alternative to my expensive headphones, so I decided to place an order. In the worst case, the sound quality does not meet my expectations and I lose 10 euros. It was worth it. I mean, I've spent more money over the years to win the Powerball, so playing some of the headphones seemed perfectly reasonable in comparison. When they arrived the next day I decided to try them. When I opened the package I was amazed at the quality of the headphones. It might sound strange, but anyone who has bought cheap headphones can tell you that they just feel different. There's a real lack of quality and a sense of fragility. These headphones were different; They seemed to be the more expensive headphones I've bought in the past decade. The headphones are individually packed in a box, which is great for keeping spares safe. The headphones have a microphone and the sound quality was excellent during my test call. There's no volume control on the microphone, but you can press the button to answer, end, or reject a call. When listening to music, you can use the same button to play/pause, skip to the next song, or skip to the previous song. One of the first things that struck me when I first unboxed the headphones was the "texture" of the headphone cable. There was a rubbery feel, which was a bit unusual. Upon closer inspection, it appears to be the silicone case mentioned in the product description. I was concerned that the cord might snag/tangle on nearby objects, but it worked. So the silicone texture/shell seems to be more beneficial than anything else. This gives the headphone cable a "hard" look. OK, so far so good. What about the feel and the sound when listening to music? When I tried on a pair of headphones, I was surprised at how comfortable they are. Some cheap headphones don't fit properly or feel uncomfortable in the ear. These headphones were the opposite; they sit comfortably and firmly without slipping. I turned on my iPod and shuffled through a few songs in the default playlist, listening to different styles of music and paying close attention to things like bass/fade. THESE EARPHONES HAVE THE SAME SOUND QUALITY I EXPECT FROM MY EXPENSIVE BRAND! I had to capitalize everything because I was really (and pleasantly) surprised! Sound and sound had no distortion. It didn't sound cheap. It is true that my terrible pets will not be impressed with these headphones. I doubt they'll be discouraged by their bizarre contest of destruction. However, I now have four extra pairs of headphones neatly tucked away in the box for just such occasions. Considering the price I paid these headphones were an absolute steal. I will be purchasing another set (or two) once they become available. To the manufacturer: keep up the good work, it's fantastic! I'd love to see more color schemes - how about orange? I would like a blue and orange combo! :)
