At just over $200 this is a real gem. Solidly built with lots of bells and whistles like brightness adjustment, 360 degree rotating head, 2 sets of eyepieces (10x/25x), parfocal lenses (mostly), etc. It even comes with a pair of polarizing discs that can be placed over the eyepieces to mount the polarizing microscope to build a poor man. My only concern is that the aperture setting is a bit dim for light and has a limited range. I haven't tried an oil immersion lens yet. I'll just add that it's amazing how often careful packaging can give a good indication of a product's quality. This is perfect for a biology student. My granddaughter loves it.
