Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhance Your Gaming Experience with Marseille Inc. mCable Gaming Edition 9-foot HDMI by Sharon Payne

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A nice PS4 Pro improvement for PSVR.

I'd like to point out one big negative right away: This HDMI cable is powered by a TOO SHORT USB cable and it branches insanely into the headset NOT the PSVR. box or any convenient place where you can connect it. I have a 9" HDMI port, but the USB portion of it is only about 4 feet long. I can't believe none of the YouTube reviewers I've looked at have mentioned this, but you must be aware. So BUY a USB EXTENSION CABLE (m/f) long enough to reach the nearest power outlet (with a USB port, of course) or USB port on your TV or PS. If you are using a PS4, make sure you are using the USB3 port (one of the two ports on the front of the device is USB2 and will not work). HDMI female to female adapters (they are cheap). TIP B: Even without the added bulk/weight of this cable, it's useful to use one of these clips to secure the cable to your body (it frees your head and neck from the downward pull) and - yes - it's special nice to have this thing hooked up. And the thing is too expensive, that's true. But it actually works, so these days I'm wired and I love it. So, I'm pretty late for this HDMI cable party. I found out about this about 3 weeks before the PS5 release and don't know if it will be useful at all after it comes out - I was just excited about it and throwing money at it because sometimes even if it's stupid you do it, but you have some money, and we're emotional beings, so that's what I did. After a week of use I was very happy with the graphical improvements it brings to PSVR. There's anti-aliasing, which reduces roughness in an amazing way. especially in some applications and games. It won't eliminate No Man's Sky blur or speed up textures (hopefully PS5 will achieve that), but I LOVE virtual sculpting in SCULPTR VR and was shocked at how deeply smoothed it was. the appearance of my models, both in terms of defining objects externally and smoothing out shading transitions in them. Perhaps the most distinct colors. WOW makes this cable more colorful than without. I never thought a PSVR headset could deliver such rich colors and the contrast between lights and darks is very welcome as this resolution enhances the 3D experience. When I tried to compare wired and wireless headphones, it was difficult because it takes a minute to unplug and plug back in, and then you have to plug the headset back in, so by then your graphics memory is drained and the comparison difficult becomes . What I particularly noticed was that with FIREWALL: Zero Hour or SKYRIM VR, the feeling of actually being there was noticeably more tangible with this cable. You just feel it everywhere. When the PS5 comes out I'll be curious to see if this cable will come in handy and I'll try to remember to come back here and update this review with my impressions. But yes. As expensive, poorly designed, and clunky as this cable is, I don't hate that I bought it.
