I can't believe this actually works.

Really works! It makes Switch games look amazing. Don't forget to set your console output to the recommended resolution before playing. At 720p, games look like they have anti-aliasing, which a regular game doesn't have. The edges of some objects have become sharper and the contrast appears richer. If you are a video game fan, I would highly recommend this cable. Although a little pricey, it's worth every penny.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

A nice PS4 Pro improvement for PSVR.

I'd like to point out one big negative right away: This HDMI cable is powered by a TOO SHORT USB cable and it branches insanely into the headset NOT the PSVR. box or any convenient place where you can connect it. I have a 9" HDMI port, but the USB portion of it is only about 4 feet long. I can't believe none of the YouTube reviewers I've looked at have mentioned this, but you must be aware. So BUY a USB EXTENSION CABLE (m/f) long enough to reach the nearest power outlet (with a USB port, ofโ€ฆ

It works, but there are problems with the sound.

While mCable works in terms of adding visual enhancements to games, I'm disappointed that it has audio issues when using a component to HDMI converter with the Elgato HD Capture software. For some strange reason, PS2 and original Xbox audio are not playing properly. He stutters so badly that I honestly had to take off my headphones before I could unplug my consoles and try to get them working. I even went as far as buying a stereo line-in to see if I could record audio separately, butโ€ฆ

It's legal on PlayStation 2

It's legal. If in doubt, you can take a look at the LinusTechTip or PC Perspective review. From what I can see the chip in the cable does 3 things: 1. Antialiasing (which actually looks better than software SMAA)2. Increased contrast and color saturation (in-game colors look better on my cheap TN panel)3. Applies a sharpness filter (I can say that text on webpages definitely looks sharper, like I sharpened my monitor). All of these things breathe new life into 1080p games. I disagree withโ€ฆ

Works great on latest generation consoles.

So far so good, I got my share. 9 feet for $95. The upscaling was evident from the get-go, but if you don't believe me, here's Dark Souls for PS3 before and after. Notice how bad the aliasing on the sign was before and how much better it got after. (The color difference is due to my phone's poor quality camera.) The thing is that it works so well for PS3/Xbox/Wii because the output is below 1080. Anything that outputs Original 1080 or higher will see little to no improvement from this. Cableโ€ฆ
