If you're serious about having more pedal power on your Lectric XP e-bike, this is a must-have upgrade. The 11-tooth gearing is essential to allow you to reliably and consistently increase pedal effort on anything over PAS 2 (18-13 mph). This has increased my range significantly as I can actually add significant pedal power on the PAS 3 (15-18 mph). Before the update, the PAS 3 was pulling out a good 18+ amps and quickly draining the battery on long rides. After the upgrade, pedaling can keep the PAS 3 at 4-6 amps. For me personally, the PAS 3 is a comfortable way to maintain 24 to 30 km/h on long journeys. However, this is not a magic solution for maximum speed. It still lacks pedal power at the top of the PAS 4 and PAS 5 (anything over 22 mph). Personally, they drain the battery far too quickly and at higher speeds than I like to travel. A NOTICE. A 12 spline freewheel tool is required for removal/installation. I took "Park Tool FR-1.3 Freewheel Remover" to get the job done.
