Review on JJC SD Micro SD CF TF Memory Card Case: Water-Resistant & Shockproof, Holds 6 CF, 12 SD, and 18 Micro SD Cards by Rob Madden

Fits CF Type I or Type II Half Capacity

These are tough, chunky cases, the style I first came across (and really appreciate) when I was looking for cases for Nintendo Switch games , but I digress. These memory card cases are mostly as advertised but with one caveat. They're listed as CF cards, but don't specify whether they can hold 6 standard-size Type I cards or 50% thicker Type II cards, which is what microdrives are, tiny hard drives that were an economical alternative to flash , almost the case with media when the latter were much more expensive in the early 2000s. This was my use case; I have a DSLR that uses CF/Microdrive memory and some old Microdrives, which still work great. So I needed strong enclosures for relatively fragile small hard drives. I thought these cases were chunky enough to fit 6 microdiscs but at worst they could fit 3 to a side and still close tightly. The latter turned out to be true, which was a bit disappointing as I had to buy an extra case later, but it's not the end of the world. As mentioned, this wasn't advertised anyway, but it really should have been. It's clear that storing microdrives (with a capacity of 4-8GB!) is a very niche application in 2021, but there's no harm in specifying the size of the CF, since *there* are two heights. I can't criticize. product for not doing what it says it can't do, but I think
