heavy like a leather backpack/bag. This one is perfect in every way. It features strategically placed compartments that make it accessible under the seat on long flights. It has plenty of room to change and stash a light cape, headphones, iPad etc. I love that the front straps have loops to hang my heavy DSLR on (so called sunglass loops). My water bottle fit in the side pocket when the backpack was packed. All that's missing is a hip belt that can distribute the weight when hiking and keep it stable when I'm climbing over scree. Neither is expected from a trendy backpack, but it turns my 3 stars into 5 stars for weight distribution. Excellent purchase! I've already used it on two car trips and will report back when it gets more intense. Whenever I can finally travel the world again.
