Aqueon AAG29036 Versa Top Aquarium, 36 x 12-Inch Review

What I liked: The product fit in my aquarium with no cuts. A plastic piece was installed covering the back of the aquarium which is a nice touch as they are pretty damn convenient to put on. What I didn't like: The product arrived broken the first time and had to be sent back. The exchange took 11 days. When the replacement arrived the packaging was damaged and the plastic stick on the handle was broken (no problem, I have an extra one) but miraculously the product itself arrived intact.

It comes in 2 pieces connected with a plastic loop plus a vinyl cut out piece for equipment. The individual slides fit perfectly in my aquarium, however they were not hinged flush to each other, so they cannot be flush in my lid at the same time. Contacted Aqueon and they refused to do anything because my tank is not Aqueon. Said it was "normal" for the glass to be misaligned. The hardware stores won't take it because it's hardened, so send it back to Revane.

Wasted money on this. I have bought 4 other canopies and always kept the pieces separate because the black stripe creating the loops blocks too much light as I want my light to be in the middle of the tank (front to back) and not the front or back is. Now it appears they used NASA glue to attach the black stripe and when they tried to remove it the glass broke completely rendering the lantern unusable.
