This works with a sponge filter in my 20High. The black and white photo is a close-up shot showing the installation. Unfortunately the white roots of my plant obscure most of the show but if you look through the roots for the black all is as described. The color image should show what it looks like in the tank, if you look really closely you will see bubbles showing how far the flow is reaching the end. I installed it just below the betta trunk, it has the top of the tank and all the rainbows love the power in the middle of the tank. They like to stand up and swim against him.
