Since I upgraded to Windows 10 I have had audio problems with my Shuttle XPC. I've played around with different driver settings, tried what's suggested in various discussion groups, etc. I've played around with this for hours. All I wanted was a simple left/right stereo line out to connect to a pair of powered speakers. I managed to get it working for a while, then turned off my computer to move it and when I restarted the sound was gone again. The control panel always reports that the speakers are "disconnected" even if they are connected. Yesterday I decided to give up and order one of these. He arrived today. Less than 60 seconds after plugging it in, I had working audio again. To my ears, it sounds just as good as a fancy motherboard line-out (if it worked). Most importantly, it works and it's as simple as it gets. My only regret is that I didn't buy it a few weeks ago, I would have had more hair on my head and less stress. Thanks to Sabrent for this device.
