Before I start the review, I would like to say that I have bought over 100 different USB controllers in the last 3 years. I buy them to use with rigs that I sell to friends and family. The version of the USB controller that I bought the most was a wired XBOX controller like this one. I've bought variations of the same rig from several different retailers ranging in price from $13-$20. Like I said, this is by far the best I've ever bought. Since there are no cons with this controller, I'd like to move on to the pros given my experience of 50+ other wired XBOX controllers I've purchased. BUTTONS: They are properly inserted and tight. By that I mean that when you shake the controller, you don't hear any bouncing. Others on the Revain at about the same price sound like a tic tac box when shaken, as the individual keys are a short distance from the rubber stops on the circuit boards. This issue with other controllers results in bad button presses and also makes the controller noisy to use. CASE RIGIDITY: The controller case seems to be noisier than others I've experienced. There is no give when attempting to squeeze or twist the case body in the hands. The case's plastic is either thicker, has more internal support, or is made from a higher-quality plastic blend than the competition. Case Flush: The two-piece case is completely flush, while I've had other controllers where the screw holes didn't line up. didn't fit together properly or the cast was a little off. This caused the body of the case to deviate slightly, causing some of the controller's sharp-edged ends to protrude slightly, which was distracting when playing. Because of this, they also had a fondness for the stream. Not with that. It's durable! - RUBBER GRIPS: I don't think the manufacturer had to have them, but it's definitely a plus. They aren't just for looks as they are much more functional than regular XBOX controllers which tend to slip into your hand when your palms get a little sweaty. ANALOG SENSITIVITY: The analog buttons on this controller have a nice intensity gradient, especially in FPS. and racing games. Others I've had were as bad as three sensitivity settings: 0%, 10%, and 100%. It was a big problem to stabilize aiming in FPS when there is a 10% to 100% speed difference in just a millimeter of movement. This controller has no problem with that - DRIVER (Software): The controller connected to my Windows 10 gaming rig faster than I could comprehend. It happened so quickly that I actually thought it hadn't as many others took a second or two to recognize. No further configuration was required as it was in fact a plug-n-play controller. PREIS: As I've said before (over and over again), I've had dozens and dozens of these XBOX USB controllers. This one is in the same price range as many others below it. Overall, this is a reliable and accurate controller. Gameplay is far less frustrating when you don't have to wreck your thumbs to focus on an enemy or get distracted by the sound of clacking keys.
