I bought a 28 can cooler. This is a very good little fridge if you just want to throw away a few things and go. It's a bit big for a lunch fridge, but it still works perfectly. Although it says it holds 28 cans without ice, I wouldn't recommend stuffing it all the way and trying to carry it by the handle or strap. It seems like too much so give it a try if you like. It's perfect for 12 packs and ice cream, and what I really like is the separate top compartment that's perfect for multiple snacks, especially ones that can melt like a candy bar. Haven't tried it in the summer months so I don't know how long the ice or ice packs will last, but on a moderate day my ice packs lasted all day and didn't even start to melt. I find all the extra compartments on each side very useful. Lots of space in a small space. At $20 and under I find this cooler to be a very good value. The only negative thing I notice is that there is a plastic shoulder piece on the shoulder strap, which rubs a little on the shoulder when the cool box is fully loaded. A padded shoulder pad would have been a nice addition, but wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.
