I have used very good binoculars as well as very cheap binoculars in the past and can honestly say these are great quality for the price. The lens is very clear with no fogging and the quality of vision is reflected accordingly. As another reviewer noted, I had no issues with dust behind the lens. The focus ring adjusts very smoothly, and the diopter ring (for the right eye) adjusts very smoothly as well. A tip for getting a smooth view through any 12x binoculars is to try and get the binoculars further back so you can hold the binoculars to your face and maybe even tuck your elbows into the guy for stabilization.
