I really like this knee brace because it's exactly what I was looking for - light compression, light support. I have a variety of high compression knee braces for walking and exercising. They are thick, black and heavy. I did not want. I wanted something that would offer moderate support during daily activities without wearing a corset. I believe in that. Personally I wouldn't use it for heavy exercise like running or even long walks. But for my purposes (cleaning the house, grocery shopping, tinkering in the garage) this is exactly what I need. It does NOT have those nasty silicon inserts on top which is great and the fabric is warm and nice. And yes, it washes well too. And it's economical in price. I'm considering ordering a few more. I got what I wanted. UPDATED October 2019 I just ordered 4 more of these cases! -- and changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. I love this knee pad because it has NO nasty silicone pads to rub against my skin. This is the main reason. But I also use these sleeves for basic light compression around the house and they do their job well. Also, I've recently had some calf issues and have used it at night for minimal calf compression and it's been just perfect. Again, this isn't a hard running or training machine BUT it certainly has some great everyday uses. I recommend it for this purpose. Now I have 6 of them!
