These socks are waterproof! They fit well and are made from a nice thick fabric so blisters should be avoided, especially if you plan to walk or exercise a lot. (Although this is common with socks) I just received these but they appear to be durable and will stretch to some extent. I was suspicious because some people said they weren't waterproof and some even went so far as to say they were only waterproof. Now I'm sorry that the seller got a bad rating (but maybe these people got a defective product). I put them on and went into the bathroom, and at first it seemed to me that they were wet, but it's just a temperature. Then I filled the sock with water myself and it held up! Where there are no leaks or drips. Filled up and everything is fine. When the outside is wet, your feet feel wet because water sticks to the outer fabric. The inner fabric does a pretty good job considering there is actually a plastic bag around the foot. It gets quite hot and sweaty though, so it's most likely designed for cold weather as the fabric retains heat quite well, but that doesn't mean it's useless outside of the cold. Now I understand that I need quick drying socks but they are exactly what I thought and advertised so if that's what you need, buy them. They're a bit pricey for a pair of socks (I think all waterproof socks are like that) but they're good and I'll definitely use them. The outer fabric is water repellent with drops but once the fabric is saturated it holds water making it heavy but still seems to retain heat very well so this might interest you.
