I recently flipped the axle on my 5th wheel by raising it about 6 inches and although the original stabilizers and jacks are still big enough to handle the climb, I wanted even more stability and decided to add a scissor jack to the center of the frame just in front of the front axle. I set them at 45 degrees for two reasons: 1. When set at 90 degrees from the frame they stick out about 4-6 out 2. All the jacks and stabilizers are set at 90 degrees from the factory, so they only provide vertical stabilization, which you will not receive. no matter what angle you put the jacks in. By setting them at a 45 degree angle, then triangulate your stabilizers and you'll find that you're stable both vertically and horizontally. My wife can do aerobics in the living room while I'm in bed and I'll never know! The only problem now is that my wife can't tell when she's finished spinning and it's time to dry because the washing machine doesn't have a program end signal! These jacks are RELIABLE, and best of all, they're made from 100% American Steel!
