Works like ceiling lights!

We were looking for something that would attach to the plastered ceiling of our pantry and plug into an outlet and it looked promising. I knew that wasn't their intended purpose, but I was still surprised and a little concerned when I saw how small these lights were. It turns out that they are quite bright. A little steeper than I would like but they get the job done. We thought about buying another set of 3 but decided it would actually be brighter than we wanted! Minor inconveniences that I left out in my review as they probably wouldn't be a problem if you used them under cupboards but could be useful for anyone trying to get out of the scenario: - There are 3 if you do that Turn on lights - a second delay, enough to fool you into thinking they're not working, and not ideal for something like a pantry you reappear in and exit. Not sure if this will still be the case when using the included dimmer. We had to take it off to work with the switched outlet. - The laces are ugly. We knew the wires would be visible in our application, but we thought they were solid white. One side is, and on the other there is an inscription. If you mount the lamp in such a way that the cable comes out straight at the side, the lettering will be on the visible side. I bent one over me as a test and it still seems to fit, so I'll probably go back and do the same with the others. Since these are LEDs you can't just plug them in directly, they require a power supply built into the connector. If it were somewhere along the cord we would have the option to plug it directly in instead of using an outlet. I took off a star because of the location of the dimmer switch. the end of the cable next to the plug. Since sockets are often behind furniture or other awkward places, a little flexibility would be nice. If I had to choose, the switch next to the hub seems to make more sense to me.
