Alternative to expensive docking station

I bought this for my new laptop which only has USB-C ports and no regular USB. I considered buying a docking station but this hub had all the ports I needed and was a lot cheaper. I like its compactness and the fact that it doesn't take up my entire desk. The resolution of my monitor via the HDMI connection is good and everything else works fine! I love that it has USB C so you can connect additional USB C devices or another hub if needed.
