This is the cheapest thing I've seen in real life. The cover to get to the filter does not close completely no matter how hard you try to install the filter yourself. The top of the pot and the bottom of the filter into which the coffee is poured do not automatically match. What you really need to do is try to lift the top of the machine and bend over to look under the dispenser to make sure the coffee goes straight into the carafe. I haven't had a good cup of coffee from it yet. I read the reviews but was really hoping that the issues would be fixed. I need a quality, small coffee maker and am on a tight budget, but not only is this incredibly fun. If the carafe wasn't glass I would cut the cord and give it to a little girl to play with. Wait. No, actually I wouldn't. She pinched her fingers trying to close the lid. It's unbelievable that the company is still selling this. This coffee machine is absolutely unsafe.
