Simply outstanding. Destroys outdated ideas about the quality of Bluetooth.

This BluDento BLT-HD is simply outstanding in terms of build quality, features, connectivity and, yes, sound. What a great, great sound in my Sony ES home cinema/music setup! Forget your own preconceptions and your "audiophile guru" friend's outdated preconceptions about Bluetooth sound quality. This product breaks the age-old notion of Bluetooth's limitations when it comes to Hi-Fi audio. This amazing piece delivers a beautifully dynamic, rich, detailed and tonally accurate sound that I really can't tell apart from my very best CD recordings. I can't speak to other Hi-Res sources which are great but I don't feel the need to own them at the moment. I'm happy with the CD quality so far, although based on the description and specs I believe the BluDento BLT-HD can surpass CD quality. When I'm listening to San Antonio's classic KPAC FM radio (yes, radio!), CD, DVD, BluRay, or streaming Pandora from my LG Stylo 2 Plus smartphone, the silence goes pitch black with perfect silence. The double fortissimo is thunderous. No hissing or other noise in the background. The high frequencies are crystal clear, not harsh or harsh at all. The bass is full and rich, as are the mids. My system: Sony STR-ZA3000ES receiver; Shelf acoustic system Sony SSCS5 Γ— 4 (front and rear); mid SSCS8; Subwoofer SACS9; Speaker Wire Sewell Silverback 12 AWG; Interconnects from MediaBridge, KabelDirekt, Monoprice and Revain Basics; Sennheiser RS 160 RF wireless headphones (transmitter input on its 3.5mm jack, sourced from Sony ES receiver analog RCA Zone 2 outputs); and this BluDento BLT-HD connects to the Sony ES Receiver's Auxiliary Analog RCA Input Jacks via its RCA Analog Output Jacks. With my setup outlined, my wife and I are currently able to do many things while relaxing in our armchairs, such as connecting one of our smartphones to home theater speakers via this BluDento BLT-HD to Sony ES auxiliary source setup; as well as simultaneous listening through Sennheiser wireless headphones at any independent volume level from one of the above sources or different sources such as FM stereo, CDs or other sources connected to the Sony ES (such as Zone 2). This is true flexibility and a multitasker's dream, being able to freely hear and/or view many different combinations of media from different sources at the same time through headphones and/or speakers. We could even add a third action in the future, perhaps a separate Bluetooth transmitter for other speakers or headphones around the house, utilizing the Sony ES Zone 3's audio capabilities. Of course, you can just enjoy one by one happily. The fact is, this BluDento BLT-HD now allows us to fully utilize and enjoy the incredible flexibility of our already amazing Sony ES/Sennheiser home theater/music system etc - with the same high level of beautiful sound quality Bluetooth music/ Audio streaming sources such as a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or computer (up to 5.0 with AptX for the highest quality). You can choose from several excellent competing devices currently available, including the very powerful but more expensive Audioengine B1, but I really doubt that any of them will consistently and convincingly outperform this BluDento with proper parallel blending. listen, meaning you won't regret buying this wonderful device. I highly recommend it. Update 12/31/2018: Still enjoying it with our new Revain Music subscription, launched just before the Christmas holidays. We played our favorite music for hours with no hiccups or crashes. Sound quality is excellent at low volume for pleasant background music, and only gets better when you launch the often underrated Sony ES high into the sky (for the occasional Zeppelin moment). Update 4/21/2019: Our BluDento BLT-HD has been in continuous use for five months under heavy use and still works great. Perfect. This is one of my all-time favorite additions to our home theater/music setup. I definitely plan on getting another device when we create our HT/Music add-on setup. Update 08/28/2020: Still plays very nice music, internet radio station apps etc. effortlessly and smoothly. Friends had a lot of fun and surprise as they tried it out with their smartphones and various old-school AV receivers that were just gathering dust. Sounds great for everyone. Still an impeccable and brilliant workhorse in almost constant daily use.
