I am very satisfied with these studs. I will be buying more in various colors in the near future. They look very good on black football shoulder pads and a baseball batter's helmet.If you are going through material over 3/16" thick, you may want to get slightly longer backing screws, yet be careful not to get them too long or you won't be able to screw them all the way in before hitting the bottom of the threaded hole in the stud.
- The screw on this is very short. Not good for thick leather but ok for clothing applications.
- The spikes may be difficult or time-consuming to attach securely, requiring specialized tools or techniques
