These cables are well designed and terminated. The insulation is made of silicone and the wire inside is very flexible. Ring cable lugs are crimped very well and then pulled on with shrink tubing. These cables should last for years. I am installing one of these as the cylinder block bottom on my wife's SUV. It's larger than the cable it replaces and the silicone should be able to handle the heat just fine.
