Review on Logitech G305 Lightspeed: The Ultimate Wireless Gaming Mouse by Athit Za ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

I use it without an extension cord, the receiver is located about a meter from the mouse across the table - no problems. It goes into sleep mode after about 10 minutes of inactivity, exits instantly, almost imperceptibly (unless you specifically click in sleep mode without touching the mouse - then it will not be processed). I did not notice any difference in reaction time compared to wired mice, you can safely take it for dynamic games. Weight with battery - 97 g. I like light mice, and this is at the upper limit of comfort for me (the previous wired one weighed 122 g, and it was a bit heavy). Overall, I would say that if a symmetrical mouse suits you, then this is a great option, if not for the wheel. Let's see how it behaves over time.

Pros
  • - Practical plastic, which does not leave prints and which is easy to wipe. - Pretty comfortable shape for a "finger" grip, despite the fact that the mouse is symmetrical (I'm used to right-handed). The side buttons are also conveniently located. - Works on an AA element - a big plus for me, because the power supply can always be replaced, the battery will not die in 2-3 years.
Cons
  • - The main complaint is the wheel. It works very quietly, which is a plus, but the switching is slurred, there are no such clear clicks as, for example, on the Logitech G502. As a result, when scrolling, sometimes a situation arises when at the end you slightly under-scrolled or re-scrolled (by half a division), then you put your finger on the wheel, for example, to click, and it scrolls up or down. I can’t say that this is very annoying, because it rarely occurs so far, but what will happen next is a question. About 12 years ago, it was because of a similar problem with the wheel that I had to change the Logitech G5, and so I picked up the G305 and remembered the very problem of "phantom scrolls". - Very loud left and right clicks. For me, this is not a big problem, but I advise you to click in the store to decide how critical it is for you. If you really quibble, then: - Too bad there is no scroll left/right for the wheel like in G502. - It would be cool if it could be used as a wired in an emergency, but alas.
