Review on Liberty Pumps 237 Discharge Submersible by Adam Vang

Switch stuck in submersible pumps

It worked fine for a while but during heavy rain the switch got kinda dirty and the pump stopped working due to a stuck switch shaft. The float was all the way up trying to turn it on but for some reason (not clear to me) the float wouldn't turn on the switch and it wouldn't work and had to take over the extra backup pump. I was surprised because I thought that this type of float switch would not get dirty. I shook it and whatever was clogging the top switch stem in the case fell out and it's been working fine ever since. I'm wondering if a little dirt got into the switch stem housing and jammed it. Whatever it was fell out, but it was underwater so I couldn't understand the reason for the rejection. I think it's an inherently great pump as I have 3 of these. I've replaced all my Zoellers with these to think about my shifting issues, but I don't think so. I can make a screen protector to keep dirt off the switch housing.
